Bruce Works LLC (“Bruce Works,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why we use it, when it may be shared, and the choices available when you visit our website or contact us.
Information we collect
- Name, email address, phone number, SMS preference, and message details you submit.
- Information you provide during an audit, consultation, support request, call, text, or email conversation.
- Basic business or project context needed to respond to your request or provide services.
- Basic technical and website-usage data such as pages visited, browser/device information, and referring pages.
How we use information
We use information to respond to inquiries, schedule and provide services, coordinate appointments, prepare requested quotes or invoices, provide customer support, improve our website and operations, maintain business records, and protect against fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
Calls, texts, and SMS consent
A phone number alone does not give Bruce Works permission to text you. Where a form collects a phone number, you can explicitly choose Yes or No for informational SMS. No option is selected by default. If you select Yes, Bruce Works may send informational messages related to your inquiry, appointments, quotes, invoices, classes/events, and customer support. Consent is not required to purchase services.

Email list (the Field Brief)
If you sign up for the Field Brief or ask for our free download, we collect your email address, your first name if you give it, which page or form you used, and the date. The Field Brief box on our contact and audit forms is never ticked for you. We use this only to send the free PDF and the Field Brief, an email about putting AI to work in a small office, and to see which signup boxes people use.
Our email service provider, Kit, sends the emails and holds the list. We keep a copy in our own customer records so the list doesn’t live with one vendor only. We don’t sell or rent the list, and we don’t share it for anyone else’s marketing.
Every email has an unsubscribe link and our mailing address. Unsubscribing takes one click and works right away, or reply “stop,” or email info@bruceworks.net. Email and SMS are separate: leaving the email list doesn’t change your SMS preference, and SMS consent is never shared with the email list.
Data sharing
Customer data is not shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes. Mobile opt-in information and consent are never shared with anyone for any purpose. Any information sharing described elsewhere in this policy excludes mobile opt-in data and consent.
We do not sell personal information or phone numbers. We may use service providers that support website hosting, forms, email, scheduling, phone/text delivery, payments, analytics, storage, or other legitimate business operations. They may process only the information reasonably needed to provide those services. We may also disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary for safety, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
Retention and security
We retain information only as long as reasonably needed to respond, provide services, maintain required records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no internet-connected system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices
You may ask to access, correct, or delete information you provided, subject to applicable law and necessary recordkeeping. You can stop SMS messages by replying STOP and can request other communication changes by emailing us.
Children and external links
Bruce Works services are intended for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Third-party websites linked from this site have their own privacy practices.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as our services, tools, or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
